DMD/ENT Evaluation: Please see your DMD or ENT as soon as possible. Sharp pain is nothing to play with and may be indicative of acute infection, which in the case of the throat, can cause loss of airway and, potentially, death.

Must be seen: Please see your GP or go to Urgent Care immediately. Sharp pain is a signal that there's something very wrong. Probably infection. Please seek immediate treatment.
