How high?: It is not so much taking but not taking some things. Reduce intake of saturated fats, if you are even slightly overweight, reduce weight through diet and exercise. Exercise regularly for at least 150 minutes/week. Check the value after 6 months of following this regimen.

Ok: I am glad that you have adopted a healthy life style. However the liver produces cholesterol in the body and it may be very difficult to really bring it down without meds. Just get it repeated in six months.

Doctors can help: One's primary care doctor can help, and a patient can get a second opinion from a Lipidologist if needed (often is a Cardiologist or Preventive Medicine doctor very interested in cholesterol problems). In general, if a substance (medication, supplement, herb, or whatever) is strong enough to cause drops in one's cholesterol levels, it will have some undesirable effects too. That's the way life is.

There are no effective "natural" supplements to reduce cholesterol. You need to lose weight, avoid saturated fats, exercise and take the medication prescribed by your doctor.

Possibly,,,: Walnuts are high in cholesterol, but that can help lower a cholesterol level because they can promote less receptors in the body for cholesterol intake since walnuts have a lot of it.  As the body will get plenty of cholesterol from walnuts, etc., it will not need more and will try to remove cholesterol by excreting it.  That way, the cholesterol level in the blood can be lowered.
