29 female abt 3 weeks ago was stressed and had anxiety attack after started feeling weak on my left side head to toe. just about a week ago started feeling increasing pressure but no pain in left side back of my head ear and neck, imbalance in walkin?

: I assume the left sided weakness caused the anxiety reaction. How long did the weakness last?  Pressure in back of head,neck and ear can be caused by anxiety with production of muscle tension there.  However, if there's true difficulty with balance on walking, I recommend consulting a neurologist for evaluation &amp; advice before we attribute symptoms to anxiety. . Appropriate testing will be done.

can you tell me what is the best chamomile tea for stress and anxiety(panic attacks)?

Chamomile tea: There are many good products, but for true  anti-anxiety effect you will probably have to make it stronger than you do just to taste good.  In my cabinet I have celestial seasonings chamomile tea.  Also I have yogi teas: comforting chamomile, bedtime, and honey lavender stress relief.  Gaia makes wonderful teas also.  One last one (no chamomile in it, though) is yogi kava stress relief.  Yum!

is it possible for someone suffering from constant stress and (ocd) anxiety attacks to have muscle weakness in legs that lasts all day?

Accepted Answer

Not usually: Weakness in leg muscles that lasts all day would not usually be related to ocd or anxiety attacks alone -- although anxiety can certainly produce all kinds of physical symptoms.  Sometimes fatigue can be a symptom of depression and anxiety, though.  Please discuss your concerns with your own doctor, who knows you best and can assess what needs further investigation and treatment.

could severe stress and anxiety mimic heart attack symptoms on and off for months? have already had heart tests and cardiologist said all good?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Panic attacks can result in hyperventilation with chest pain and tightness, and "air hunger".  Glad your cardiologist has cleared you.  Now, see a cognitive-behavioral therapist.  Also, might consider biofeedback therapy as an additional intervention.

Yes and also therapy: Yes this can help in the short run but some counseling around anxiety management would be best for long term treatment

Need OT: I am not sure you can fix you can avoid further harm ask your primary care to refer for occupational assesment occupationa therapist/ physical therapist can tach you proper position and exercise to keep right posture for your job.

have you seen mental breakdown ever from an executive - i experienced stress overload and i think anxiety attacks at 51 what is best to help sleep etc?

Sleep: Retire & rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark & cool & use only for sex & sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs & no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized & finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep. Can try warm milk, chamomile tea or melatonin along w light reading, warm bath or lavender scent. Google &gt;&gt;&gt;.

Accepted Answer

A #: Lexapro, celexa, Prozac & zoloft work well. I find that patients some times have more side effects with paxil (paroxetine). Lexapro tends to have fewer side effects. Your doctor will help to find  the right match for you.

Balance helps: It certainly seems possible. It's recommended, of course, that you work less and decease your stress and perfectionism.

anything i eat lately elevates my heart rate to 100-120. followed by anxiety attack. stress test results ruled out the heart. what could be the cause.

Accepted Answer

Avoid processed: sugar and caffeine. In addition cognitive behavioral therapy can help you overcome panic attacks.
