Baby stop breathing: We need to know what was the baby doing before the breathing stopped.Was he playing, was he having temper tantrum, was he crying.Babies can sometimes have breathholding atteacks and they start breathing normaly after that.You need to consult your pediatrician and he will take a detailed history examine the baby and if indicated order tests to make a final diagnosis and if any tratment is desirable.

Yes , it could have: There is really no way to know if those old symptoms your parents saw were indeed seizures. Even as experts, it is sometimes difficult for doctors to determine if some types of neurologic activity are seizures - that's what eeg's are for. If question as to whether you still have anything , a sleep study or sleep deprived eeg may provide you with answers.

if a teen is on phenabarital for sleep could it be hard to wake him after only 2 hours of taking eyes were in back of head shallow breathing?

Yes, but...: At that point the drug will be at peak levels, but i would make sure they didn't take too much. They should still be arousable with stimulation or you may want to seek the help of a health professional. 

Phenobarbital can depress breathing which can be serious so if they won't react to you, pick up the phone and seek help.

washed our 18 month old with dr. bronners unscented mild baby soap and he got a sud in his eye and started crying - we tried to wash it out - eye was slightly red/was crying for 5 minutes but now fine - should we worry about anything permanent?

: Bar soap of any kind, when the suds get in the eye, is so dilute that aside from a bit of stinging, quickly disapates and will cause no harm So don't worry that this happened and you can continue to use that soap.

Some basics: Tonsils &amp; adenoids grow faster than the kid, especially when stimulated by infections. These can pre-dispose the kid to sleep problems due to a narrowed airway but these need to be verified before major surgery. Brief pauses of up to 10 sec are common in toddler sleep. Longer may indicate sleep apnea &amp; benefit from surgery. I'd get an ENT evaluation &amp; sleep study.

See doctor: The vomiting could be from something structurally wrong in the brain--a blood clot, etc. However, fever would be unusual with head trauma in an acute setting. Also, acting normal would probably not go along with head trauma. However, you probably ought to play it safe and get baby checked out.

: Sounds like hyperventilation. Blowing off too much CO2. Try re-breathing in a paper bag. You appear to need some emotional support.

: Yes, it can be serious as your description suggests seizures among others. Seeing your doc or a neurologist would be recommended. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until cleared.
