Sounds like: Eosinophilic inflammation of bowel. How many eosinophils in blood?. I recently found that this is due to faulty oxidation in brain (sounds strange?) because this kind of inflammation is guided by a reflex mechanism via the vagus nerve that runs from the brain to the bowel and known as the "inflammatory reflex" i advise seeking local help.

Nonspecific: While the data are not necessarily diagnostic or a particular disease, small bowel bacterial overgrowth is a little known disease that could be responsible for te problem. See a GI doc for a consultation.

Values &gt;11 x 10(9)/L: The normal white cell range is up to 10.5 x 10(9)/l for most individuals. Mildly increased valuies (i.e. Up to 25 x 10(9)/l) can be from infection, inflammation, trauma, steroid use, or even a chronic leukemia. Values well above 25 x 10(9)/l become more suspicious for a bone marrow disease. Duration of time the WBC have been increased also a key factor.

Absolutely. : Absolutely.  A "white count" refers to the number of white blood cells present in the blood.  There are numerous reasons why the WBC count would be elevated, but infection is at the top of the list.  Being that you know you already have an infection (pneumonia), that's the most obvious explanation for the high wbc.  I assume you're taking antibiotics for your pneumonia.  If so, in time, you'll feel better and your WBC should return to normal.  If you develop a fever or chills, even if you're taking antibiotics, you need to report this to your doctor immediately.

Rash: Rash related to high white count is obviously infectious ( rather than immune mediated) in origin. Several infection can cause it. Bacterial, fungal or viral infections. Differential is really broad. Need more information to narrow it down.

How do you feel?: Total white cells fluctuates chaotically, and reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside. If no abnormal cells are found, the elevation is not striking, and you feel okay, you may simply have you CBC repeated at your next annual exam.

C reactive protein: an elevated c reactive protein is an indicator of inflammation in your body.  It is elevated after surgery, with cancer of the lymph nodes, vasculitis such as lupus, or chronic infections such as chronic infections of the bone.  The high white count and high neutrophil count could be due to infection. The abnormal lymphocytes could be due to lymphoma or viral infection.  Get checked ASAP.

Colitis: Yes it can.  Hopefully you are continuing your care with your doctor to get you well

ive had a high white blood count (15 give or take) for as long as i can remember. with or without a uti. uti as a kid was worse than the 15. what would cause me to have it high so long? why no doctor say anything?

: You probably have a condition called chronic idiopathic leukocytosis. I have several patients with the white cell count between 13-15 K. If you have known that for years, nothing to concern.
