Yes and No: Yes... one can get a Tdap shot if the person is an adult and hasn't gotten a Td or Tdap shot in the last 10 years, regardless of the current incident. No... if the person's tetanus shot within the past 10 years was Td or Tdap, there is no special worry about tetanus in such scenarios.

I doubt it ...: but maybe there are a few too many uncommon events for comfort: open skin, rusty spots, etc. The signs and symptoms of tetanus (lock jaw) are not pain where it entered but muscle spasms, jaw cramping, trouble swallowing etc. But I think a prompt doctor visit is warranted in any case for a brief exam and updating your tetanus vaccine at a minimum. Wound care: Stretch marks are areas where the skin has stretched and thinned. It is common that these areas can split  the skin.  Wash the area well and disinfect with hydrogen peroxide or iodine solution, dry the area and apply antibiotic ointment, then apply a clean bandage. Keep the area clean and dry, reapplying the ointment and new bandage daily until it heals.  Avoid scrubbing or pulling at this skin.
