Blood patch 2.0: After a blood patch is placed, the blood patch resolves.  There is no risk of a blood clot with this procedure.  There are no long time risks.  The blood patch resolves after the dura heals.  This normally takes days or weeks.  The CSF replaces itself in a few hours.
