Retina & MJ: There are endocannabinoid receptors in your retina, as well as nearly everywhere else in your body.  These can be impacted by external cannabis, and not necessarily in a healing way.  Research on this is in its infancy.  Please ask your retina surgeon about this -- s/he will be your best advisor.

i had a laser surgery for a tear in my retina. they put gas bubbles in my eye to keep it steady, 4 weeks later i still cannot see ?  help me please?

No: The bubble was emplaced to push the retina back in its proper position.  The vision recovery depends mostly on the type and degree of detachment. If it is air, then your eye will absorb it.  If it is a silicone based gas, then it will need removal at some time after the retina is stabilized.  Discuss  this with your retinal surgeon.

is it normal to have debris floating around in the new vitreous gel after retina pvd surgery? i am 21weeks post op and gas about 50% left so i'm starting to be able to see above the gas bubble with tiny specks of black dots not like original floaters?

: Call the surgeon if you are unsure about your symptoms, but in general it is fairly normal to see floaters for a while after vitrectomy as the gas bubble decreases in size.

when can i resume red light (rlt) and infrared light led treatments after eye surgery? is rlt safe with gas bubble in eye? i just had vitrectomy and scleral buckle surgery for detached retina. i have c3f8 gas bubble in eye. i am one week post op?
