No: I would advise not smoking marijuana within several hours of anesthesia due to possible interactions between marijuana and other mind-altering medications, but by the time you are not feeling any effects of marijuana there should be no potential for interaction.

See below: I would suggest that you not smoke marijuana at all, never mind just before surgery. All drugs can interact with drugs given for an operation. Smoking of any kind can increase your risk of pulmonary complications after surgery. Marijuana is no more safe than tobacco products.
