Bad breath: Also called halitosis, can be caused by tooth decay, gum disease, nose, sinuses, throat, stomach, & rarely liver or kidney or diabetes.

i got smelly breath. even when i brush my teeth and dont eat, or eating anything. its like the back of my mouth taste bad and it smells bad when i smell my breath under my mask. ive been going to the dentist and i need a crown and some fillings?

: I assume you don't smoke. Oral hygiene and dental care are high on the list of causes and you're taking care of those. Do others comment on your bad breath. Some digestive causes,nasal pathology or metabolic alterations can be the problem. On the other hand if someone close to you doesn't agree that your breath is bad, you could be overreacting. Get the dentist's opinion.

Periodontal disease?: Gum disease can contribute to bad breath. Inflammation, easy bleeing and recessed gums are signs of gum disease. If you have any of these you should see  a dentist. Also try brushing your tongue and gargling. To reduce odors brushing will not solve the problem of halitosis by itself.

Wrong assumption: Your problem may be caused by cavities, acid reflux, gum disease, or diet... All the mouthwash and brushing in the world will not solve your problem, only mask it for 5 minutes. Seek the help of a local dentist and physician who can examine you and determine the cause.

? mouth breathing: Breathing through mouth instead of nose causes dry mouth..a major contributor to bad breath. The child may have minor allergies or sinus infection, inflamed tonsils leading to post-nasal drip, etc. A tiny foreign object stuck in nose? A diet high in protein may promote anaerobic bacteria; undiagnosed diabetes also a potential issue. Continue brushing including tongue, floss,use kid-safe mouth wash

Mouth breathing?: Maybe due to mouth breathing and therefor dry mouth.  Saliva keeps odor causing bacteria to a minimum.  Consider treating nasal congestion and try saliva substitutes like biotine mouth spray or "rain" by xlear.
Gastric reflux couldalso be in the mix.

Halitosis: Bad breath can be caused by several things. One, is tooth bacteria, but your tounge has crypts that have bacteria as well. Tonsils,  and acid reflux can also cause bad breath. Brushing your tounge and watching what you eat can be helpfull. Speak to your dentist and maybe a physician if you suspect reflux.

As far back as you: Can without gagging yourself, scraping lightly from the back towards the front.  Best done twice a day after brushing.

Maybe it's not teeth: Intense bad breath can have many causes, your mouth, nose, even stomach.  But a very common cause is gum disease, see a dentist to rule this out, and soon brushing after meals and at bed time will be enough.
