: Liver size is somewhere at the upper limit of normal with no abnormalities, gallbladder polyps are relatively common and not likely to explain possible symptoms you have experienced. Your ultrasound was likely non diagnostic in case done looking for an explanation for your possible symptoms. Your main doc will be best to further clarify in proper clinical context.

Up to you: General recommendation for polyps is observation and repeat ultrasound in 6-12 months if less than 1cm. If you're having pain, and you think it could be your gallbladder, consider a CCK-HIDA scan and pay attention to reproduction of pain with CCK administration. Or if classic symptoms, consider removing anyway. Consult w/ general surgeon may help.

Benign growth: Adenomatous changes are benign, due to a "polyp" that does not have any more ominous or pre cancerous features.  If the gallbladder has been removed, then you have nothing to worry about here.

Ultrasound: In cases like this your primary care physician should review the images with the radiologist who interpreted the studies and determine the differential diagnoses, recommendations for additional studies like liver biopsy,mri,etc  and suggestions for referrals to appropriate specialists like gastroenterologist or hepatologist.

No: Not on endoscopy but if endoscopic ultra sound is used then can see it.

No: Gall bladder polyps should not cause any discomfort unless the are big enough to block the outlet to the gall bladder

Possibly : It depends on what you mean by imaging.  CT, MRI, ultrasound?  Also, when you say behind gallbladder do you mean in the liver or not.  A laparotomy should be a full exploration, but ultrasound can be used in an open abdomen also

Not from this: gallbladder sludge or stones are very common.  If pain keeps coming back see a surgeon to remove gallbladder.   For now avoid fatty foods.
