Exercise: Short periods of aerobic exercise allowed during intervals of study are helpful.  20-30 minutes of study followed with 20 minutes of walking, calisthenics, or jumping rope can be very effective.  The point is not to expect to be able to sit and study for longer than 30 minutes without moving about.

Find an Expert: Cbt has been shown to help people with cfs.  It is important to find a therapist who has experience with cfs. Cbt is a form of psychotherapy that helps you challenge automatic negative thoughts that can produce negative physical symptoms. Giving you tools to help you think, act and communicate differently. Thinking positive thoughts instead, resulting in less symptoms. Mind/body connection.

: Modafinil is indicated for a variety of sleep disorders and is not usually provided to treat depression.  Obtain a second opinion.

i'm having a brain mri on wed. i've been having many issues with cognitive decline, fatigue, left side weakness, paralyzed toes (left), gastro, lots more due to long haulers. can i expect anything to show on mri if i've been getting better?

: Sounds like the nervous system is quite involved. Best to calm it with Vitamin B Complexes, especially -B12,B6, B2 &amp; Folic Acid (B9) - Vitamin C,D,E , Zinc &amp; Gingko.  Avoid inflammatory foods/drinks with high sugars and artificial sugars. Most importantly stay away from cold/ices foods &amp; drinks and see the PCP for Antiviral also.

can trazodone cause extreme fatigue, low blood pressure, sweating, cognitive issues? i take 50mg at bedtime for two months

Yes: Please tell your doctor promptly about your side effects. Increased sweating, fatigue, hypotension and difficulty with concentration have all been reported with trazodone. Take care.

Yes: But this is not the most easy thing in the world to treat.  I once heard a narcoleptic (they have many of these issues) patient say,  the song "I want a new drug" by Huey Lewis and the News should be a narcoleptics' theme song.  If you listen to the lyrics, its true!

an mri dated july 2020 of my brain stated that there is "nonspecific punctate foci of t2 signal in the cerebral white matter bilaterally". what does this mean? i had this mri done for headache, fatigue and cognitive issues when i was 25 years old?

: These may be insignificant but some of the literature suggests you MAY be at increased risk for cognitive decline as you get older. If a  neurologist reviews the MRI study they should be able to speak to this in more detail.
