Get re evaluated: There are other conditions other than adhd that present with inattention including anxiety and other mood disorders. If you are not responding to treatment for adhd, it may wise to get re evaluated to see if other conditions may be causing your inattention.

Hard to say: Inattentiive adhd often is less robustly responsive to medication than combined-type adhd, especially if the main problem is slow processing, relatively poor working memory, and problems with planning (exeutive functioning)--none of which are helped much with existing medications. Depending on your specific problem, you may want to seek out an expert on behavioral, organizational approaches.

Other factors: When adhd does not respond to usual medications, a reassessment is in order.Do we have the correct diagnosis? Are there any other co-existing behavioral, emotional , developmental, enviromental or physiological co-existing factors? Has medication been optimized? These and other questions need to be anwsered..A re-evaluation will help>further testing including apsychoeducational assesment is in order.
