Poor, slow healing..: May be normal as we age or could be indicative of an underlying disorder such as diabetes. If this is a new issue for you, i would suggest seeing your doctor for an examination and a few basic laboratory tests.

Tendons/cartilage: Joint injuries are often slow to heal because of the involvement of tendons and cartilage in the injury. Tendons, ligaments and cartilage do not have a good blood supply and so repair mechanisms in them progress more slowly than in tissues with a good blood supply.

: I believe you are talking about your ankle. A grade one Spain should have heeled. You are correct to reevaluate your situation. Have you performed any rehab?  You can go to a physical therapist or try a home program with contrast bath
and strengthening   Ibuprofen or Aleve might be tried to help healing.

i had a full thickness skin graft on my leg it was slow to heal causing more scaring than expected. can i use mederma on it?

Why: If you already bought it ok. If not dont waste your money. Get a silicone pad to cover it and find a way to increase pressure over it with tape or wrapping or a pressure garment. Wear that 24/7 for 3 months until the collagen is mature. Steroid injections are often very helpful as well.

40, male. light smoker (1 cig/day) small 3-4mm sore on upper, inner left gum/palate. initially result of cut while eating potato chips, but slow to heal. more than two weeks now. round shape, rolled, white edges. need advice. how worried should i be?

: Any lesion that doesn't heal on its own within two weeks should be evaluated. It may be nothing to worry about but until it is examined and possibly biopsied if deemed suspicious we won't know. Please see an oral surgeon for an evaluation.

minor knee sprain of mcl now 10 weeks duration...slow to heal. will feel good, but as soon as i attempt 2 walk w/o my cane i get pain response next day...this has happened 3 times and afraid to walk on it without re-injury please advise?
