Skin allergy: Typically skin allergy is ige mediated, you can have skin testing to determine what to avoid.  There are some igg associated skin problems, and typically that requires avoidance and then challenge (elimination diet) to determine, though there are igg tests, a little more controversial than ige.

What is skin allergy: I dont know what you mean by skin allergy.If you mean you have a rash which itches only on the legs and groin under your underwear, than it may be an allrgic contact dermatitis or something else.You may try 1%hydrocortisone cream which is available over the counter, and something like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or zyrtec(over the counter).If dont get better see your doctor or a dermatologist.

Pressure hives: Steroids help. Usually antihistamines don't. I found a few cases that correlate with a delayed food reaction. Watch what you eat and maybe you will get lucky.

Skin allergy: I don't know if i can link a skin allergy with a stomach upset, you need to have his doctor look at him and determine what exactly he has.

Dry skin: It is a common presentation of dry skin especially during the winter when your heater is set high. Dry skin stimulates the nerves that conduct pain and itch sensation. Keep your skin moist by applying skin moisturizer generously will help.

More info needed: Skin rash is best diagnosed with further history and exam. A picture of the rash can worth a lot. Skin allergies differ in nature, cause and treatment. Localized rashes can be drug eruption or contact dermatitis. If, otherwise health, consider consulting with MD when possible. If rash is spreading or having other concerning symptoms then you might better seek medical attention in person asap.

Not allergy: One may have darkened skin from scratching  leading to overpigmentation but allergic skin conditions (atopic ezcema, allergic contact dermatitis etc) per se does not cause darkened skin. On the flip side, too much scratching may also lead to loss in melanin on the skin leading to a white area called vitiligo. 
First thing, stop scratching.  Rx bleaching cream may help to lighten up the darken area.

Several: Allergic skin rashes can be caused by:

contact dermatitis from poison ivy, rubber, nickel, fragrance, make up, preservatives,  etc.  

Contact hives is hives that occur with direct contact with an allergy--spilled food or saliva from the lick of a pet. 

The "cure" is avoidance of the particular allergen trigger.  Barrier creams or ointments are partially effective.  Medications treat symptoms.
