Possibly: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person.  He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

Go to ER/urgent care: if you think your tongue piercing is infected, don't just take left-over antibiotics. Instead seek immediate medical evaluation at urgent care or emergency department. Don't delay.

Of course: If she is contagious, a fresh wound in the tongue is the perfect portal for admittance of an infectious agent--but then again, so is the gingiva. Of course, if she is infected (with what?) and you are not, why are you performing oral without a dam? If the piercing is reasonably well established, normal, healthy vaginal and anal bacteria will likely not infect the pierced canal.

No but...: I recomend to remove the piercing because research tells us one out of three will have a serious fracture of a tooth resulting in a lost tooth or worse. Infections can move thru the planes to access the heart covering. After you know the risks and want the piercing be aware of any infection and take action immediately....

Pain now or later?: I would not do it.  I have seen many patients lose teeth, crack teeth, or loosen teeth later on.  

Of course, there could be an infection when the tongue is pierced, and then there would be bleeding, swelling and possibly loss of function.

Seek medical help: They will probably want the ornament removed.
You may need antibiotics, .
You will need to keep the area clean, possibly rinse with colgate peroxyl.
