hello i have sleep paralysis its couple of years now but seans i moved to london this is getting worse ?

Try looking online: Years ago, listings were available only in printed form. By the turn of the century, lists had become available online everywhere. County medical societies (or other local medical societies), hospitals, and insurance companies usually list doctors by name, group, insurance plans, and location. Look under Sleep Medicine or Neurology and call some doctors. May need a GP also.

does cone beam computerized tomography (3d scan) detect cavities?

It Can...Sometimes: Cbct is not designed to detect cavities. However, if the dentist/oral surgeon is looking specifically for them, they can usually be detected on a 3d scan. However, traditional or digital dental radiographs (x-rays) are much better at identifying cavities.

i have 2 missing teeth side by side (ll). can a 3d cone beam image be made of this specific area for implants vs. taking scan of the whole mouth?

Just area needed: If implants are planned just for one area, then a 3d image is needed just for that area.

for dental implants evaluations, do you really need ct scan. any concerns from using cat scan  kodak 9500 cone beam scanner. how much radiations?

Accepted Answer

Depends: Many surgeons work from panoramic and PA single images with great success, precision and safety. However, for more complex applications around the sinus and inferior alveolar nerve areas, the 3D scan is the standard for safety and accuracy. Even then, we see differences once we clinically visualize the bone. Radiation exposure is less than you might think as it is quickly completed. Good Luck.

what is the radiation difference between a dental head and neck icat 3d come beam and a regular cat scan? how does it compare to regular dental x-rays

Comparison: It's an apples and orange comparison. Each type of imaging produces different views. X-rays are used to visualize what cannot be seen with the naked eye. To not obtain appropriate imaging is to guess, not advisable.

i had a root canal two weeks ago, i  seen an oral surgeon last week about a wisdom tooth,im still having pain which is getting better.oral surgeon found white round spot under rc tooth cone beam he call it condensing ostiteis come back 6 mnt cancer?

Symptoms after shunt: No doctor on this medical advice site can answer that for you.
Our advice is to have those symptoms evaluated in the doctor's office.
Call.
Get seen.
Do not take "NO" from the person on the phone.

in a neck ct scan saids: beam hardening artifact due the prior dental work. what this mean? i don't have dental implants or fillings. i'm a little worried that my results are a mix up. ( with another patient).

Comparison: Best to determine would be through a comparison with dental films you might have had with your dentist in the past. While somewhat unlikely, a possible mix up cannot be ruled out.

Like an x-ray: It's like a simple x-ray - you lie in a small, partially enclosed space while the exam is performed.  Sorry, i don't have pics or video for this one!
