Sore throat: Fever? if fever could be flu , or corronavirus -though corona is associated with cough as well. Or could just be  allergies. Would try zyrtec ( antihistamine / or benadryl and see if any improvement . No driving on benadryl . The headache could be sinusitis  from allergies.  Strep throat is usually not associated with nasal congestion.

See your doctor!: This is the kind of stuff doctors are really good at treating. The sore throat may well be controllable by gargling with warm water mixed with a bit of honey and lemon juice, but the congestion may require somewhat more aggressive treatment.

my husband had a scratchy throat on saturday, congestion in the sinuses started on monday, he started coughing on tuesday and his ears blow led on tuesday/wednesday.  his eyes went pink and produced goo yesterday and today. no body aches.  no fever. ?

Cough? : The symptoms may indicate an early infection or allergic reaction. COVID 19 should be excluded and is variable in its presentation, but most patients develop fever during the course. Use an over the counter antihistamine, for two days and if improved, allergy testing is indicated. Allergy testing may be ordered. Avoid dust, smoke, pollen and other irritants. 
Use nasal saline rinses, drink fluids.

Common cold :: Force fluids x 8-10 glasses/day of electrolyte rich fluids (Powerade, Gatorade, Vitamin Water, G) and 4-6 bowls/day of broth spray, followed by nasal saline spray, warm water gargles or neti pot. Carefully monitor temperature every 4-6 hrs, bullion, consume or soup. Hot steam showers 3-4 times/day. Nasal saline, Tylenol as needed, Robitussin DM or Mucinex DM as needed. Zinc lozenges like Cold-Eze

every time my kid is on their menstrual cycle they get symptoms of a cold is there a reason for this? they get congestion, scratchy throat, itchy eyes, and a cough. it starts about a week before they start their cycle and it lasts about a week after?

: It is felt that the immune system weakens in the days before a period leading to colds. Sometimes allergy type symptoms get confused with head colds. If your kids are getting true head colds with periods very often, try improving their immune systems with giving them vitamin C daily &amp; see that they get good sleep regularly.

Fever & URI symptoms: How old r u? Did u have flu shot ? How long have u had the fever for? If it has not been for more than 2-3 days and is not higher than 100.3 u can wait it out if u are older than 5 yrs. Old. Try soem Acetaminophen for fever and body aches. U could try dayqui which also has acetaminphen with decongestant. If ur fever is higher and does not repsond to Acetaminophen u should be seen by ur doc.

Syrup: This is probably an early viral upper respiratory tract infection. To soothe a scratchy throat and a dry,unproductive,hacking cough, take a cough suppressant syrup that contains dextromethorphan, like RobitussinDM. To promote and loosen mucus, take a syrup like guaifenesin.

Several causes: Your symptoms are very common, so likely a common cause: allergic rhinitis, non allergic rhinitis, gastric reflux or start of a mild viral infection. Call your Dr if symptoms worsen (such as fever, cough or shortness of breath) otherwise continue to monitor your symptoms. Drink plenty of fluids, and avoid foods that could trigger heartburn to help rule out possible causes.

Viral infection: Either the antibiotic is not the correct antibiotic for the bacterial infection you have or you have a viral infection that will not respond to an antibiotic.  My guess is that you have a viral infection and the antibiotic will not help.  Time will help if it is a viral head cold. Fluids, tylenol, (acetaminophen) saline nasal sprays, gargling with salt water, etc will help.

Upper respiratory : Infections are usually viral, antibiotics are not needed. Stay hydrated, rest and take either Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen for the fever and headaches. You can also take over the counter cold medication for the runny nose and congestion. This should clear in a few days. Good luck!
