can thrombolysis be used for deep vein thrombosis?

Yes: Depending on the severity of the blood clot, thrombolytic agents can be given either systemically (through an iv) or directed at the clot itself via a catheter.

Some data support better outcomes when they are directly aimed to bust open a clot where it exists, but this is dependent on the expertise of the center you are being treated at. In general, thrombolysis is reserved for severe cases.

a 27 yrs old male had dvt in iliac veins and legs,after few months of anticoagulant therapy,he still had residual dvt in his femoral veins,wasn't thrombolytic therapy a better option for this case?so as to prevent post thrombotic syndrome?

: Thrombolytic therapy is not commonly done for venous thrombosis except there is evidence of or risk for early limb ischemia due to massive DVT.

could my vein be scarred from an iv? it hurt for 2 weeks. had blood drawn a month later from same vein and was really painful(usually doesn't hurt).

Phlebitis: Inflammation of the vein is referred to as phlebitis and clot formation in the vein is thrombophlebitis, which can be superficial or deep (DVT). IV insertion can be a cause of your symptoms of pain at the vein site. If there is redness in the surrounding area, it should be immediately treated with antibiotics etc. Pl have your doctor examine it for definitive diagnosis and treatment as indicated:)

penis feels hard and stiff when flaccid. it hurts when i get erection. when lie down its soft. anyone heard of hard flaccid syndrome. i also noticed one of my veins pulse on the shaft of my penis. is a doppler needed ? is it scar tissue?

i need to rephrase my question from last time. i had laser vein removal causing burns and blisters. they healed but my legs look scarred. will the scares go away? its been a month. i was told by the doc they were superficial. its been a long time?

: As the body heals there is a lot going on in the skin &amp; blood cells. They need to be activated to start producing new skin cells. Some are busy destroying the  collagen that was laid down to pull the skin together. Others are cleaning up the black/blue.  Many instructions must be pulled from DNA of cell nucleus to tell each cell what to do &amp; when. Some do It faster. U cannot hurry Mother Nature!

Varicose : Varicose veins are abnormal vessels that do not contribute to your circulation in an effective manner.  Damaged valves in the underlying veins allow blood to travel down the leg and form varicose veins.  The blood travels through the varicose veins to deeper veins that will return the blood to the heart.  By treating the varicose veins and the damaged underlying vein, the deeper veins will have less overall blood to return to the heart.  This effectively increases the venous circulation.

Scarring following modern minimally invasive varicose vein treatment is usually difficult to detect.

is it possible to remove a penis scar thats runs from the tip to the bottom, near the testicles, it almost looks like a vein that runs top to bottom?

Possible: Your surgeon will guide you.
Follow up  with Duplex ultrasound will be a guide that there is no residual clot or obstruction.
Also one needs to know about the other side and any constriction or extra ribs or bands.

Cosmetic overs: The discoloration may take up to 12 months to resolve. Use cosmetic skin tone covers til then.
