Varicose : Varicose veins are abnormal vessels that do not contribute to your circulation in an effective manner. Damaged valves in the underlying veins allow blood to travel down the leg and form varicose veins. The blood travels through the varicose veins to deeper veins that will return the blood to the heart. By treating the varicose veins and the damaged underlying vein, the deeper veins will have less overall blood to return to the heart. This effectively increases the venous circulation. Scarring following modern minimally invasive varicose vein treatment is usually difficult to detect.

Improved Circulation: Blood flow with varicose veins is stagnate with venous pools. 90% of venous flow in the lower limbs is completed by the deeper veins. Vv closure by rf or laser forces the blood flow into deeper veins away from the skin surface. Thus decreasing superficial vein pressures. With new micro stripping, laser/radiofrequency ablation--scars are minimal punctures and simple stab incisions-minimally.

Good question: As drs. White and whipple said, blood goes into the deep venous system after varicose vein treatment. Since your deep veins are the one that are responsible for returning blood back to the heart, getting rid of the bad veins simply allows blood to flow more effectively and efficiently than it could before treatment was done. You lose nothing except veins that are broken and gain better circulation.

Vein leg blood flow.: Varicose veins are superficial veins and are due to malfunctioning of the superficial system of venous valves. There are 3 levels of veins in the legs-superficial, perforator and deep. If the superficial varicose veins are treated then the venous blood flow in the legs will be diverted into the perforator and deep veins and then return back to the heart. This will cause no untoward side effects.

Varicose veins: Varicose veins are abnormal circuits and by correcting them the venous circulation of the leg will improve Most vein procedures are being treated by thermal ablation either laser or heat probe Both are done by needle puncture and as such there are no scars
