NO: Beta blockers can reduce the flight or fight response, and if anything reduce anxiety not provoke it. Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker and doesn't affect the response to flight or fight or adrenaline, and doesn't affect anxiety positively or negatively.

No: Anxiety is a feeling of tension, un-ease, and worry that pervades most life activities. May be chronic.  Panic is a discrete episode of intense anxiety that comes out of the blue, peaks within 10 minutes, and has symptoms like palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, rapid pulse, etc.  The person may fear having another attack, and avoid activities believed to be connected with it.

Yes: It does tend to recur. Muscle tension makes it worse, so one could expect anxiety to be a factor.

Yes,however SAMe may: Relora often helps anxiety. GABA may help but doesn't cross blood-brain barrier well.SAMe often helps depression but can worsen anxiety, esp. in high doses. While safe to take together, it might be more effective to combine Relora with Holy Basil,L-Theanine,5-HTP &amp;/or magnesium, all more likely to help than GABA or SAMe. B vits may help too. Consider exercise,meditation, counselling &amp; EFT as well.

i would like to find a way to manage my anxiety and depression is there any kind of medication that can treat both at the same time my anxiety is really effecting my day to day life. and what are some other coping strategies for this because my lifestyle is so busy i do not have a lot of time to sit and focus on me.

No time for selfcare: It doesn't sound like you want to put much effort into taking care of your anxiety and depression. Just taking a medication (yes there are meds that treat both anxiety and depression) without non-pharmacological approaches - is like putting your toe in a tub of water and saying you took a bath.

See below: It sounds like you should go to an ER soon to get evaluated for your chest pain. If you suffer from asthma or allergies, you may be experiencing narrowing of your airways. You may have enlargement of your tonsils or swelling of your throat. There may be other causes as well that need to be determined.

my doctor thought that 160 mg propranolol was too much at a time, so he reduced it to 10 mg. i don't feel the same benefits for anxiety. some insight?

Talk to your doctor: I agree that 160 mg at once maybe too much going down to 10 mg all of a sudden can cause some rebound tachycardia that you may experience as anxiety. Talk to your dr.

Pressure: your head pressure I probably more related to your depression rather than to the medications prescribed
