My doctor thought that 160 mg propranolol was too much at a time, so he reduced it to 10 mg. i don't feel the same benefits for anxiety. some insight?

Talk to your doctor: I agree that 160 mg at once maybe too much going down to 10 mg all of a sudden can cause some rebound tachycardia that you may experience as anxiety. Talk to your dr.

Propranolol: That is a big reduction in the dosage. Talk to your doctor about possibility of taking the low dose more than once daily. Monitor your blood pressure meanwhile.
