Can diltiazem cause the same anxiety that beta blockers potentially can?

NO: Beta blockers can reduce the flight or fight response, and if anything reduce anxiety not provoke it. Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker and doesn't affect the response to flight or fight or adrenaline, and doesn't affect anxiety positively or negatively.
