The drug or the Dx?: Wish your mother and yourself the best of health, I didn't get exactly your concern: the diagnosis is complex, and hopefully she'll be cured, the clexane is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that's given to patients who have had thrombosis or to prevent formation of other ones. Poor.: At age 80 you generally have few years left the same is true with hcc stage 4. With the combination of factors - including portal vein thrombosis we are likely talking months to a year or two.  Your doc should know better.

chronic thrombosis of radial artery.  vascular surgeon says bypass could kill me.  do i have any other options. only on bayer aspirin.

Unclear: The radial artery in its natural position is well collateralized and minimal symptoms. Rarely would it need to be bypassed.

If was used as coronary graft and occluded, then reoperation can have risks in relation to the total health  picture-.

Your mom may have: Poor venous circulation/ venous stasis related to varicose veins, cardiovascular risk factors like hypertension, diabetes, high lipids, age etc. It's not easy to treat but supportive and symptomatic treatment would help. Time and treatment: If you know you have a clot in your retina, it is likely you were told that after and eye exam. The most common diagnoses are central and branch retinal vein occlusion. The both affect the vessels that carry blood out of the back of the eye. These can be minor and left limited, or severe and very problematic. Follow up with an eyemd is impt. Medical issues like high BP need to be ruled out.

Stabilizes: It actually keeps it from growing larger and the body's own processes act to "chew up" the clot - called fibrinolysis.

Needs specialist: No vits or minerals will treat this.  A mass in the l ventricle ( blood clot or otherwise ) needs serious attention.  Over the counter meds have absolutely no role. You will require anticoagulation if you are showering clots and may need much more depending upon your baseline condition.

Depends: Depends on the severity of the hemorrhage. As an oculoplastc specialist i deal with blunt trauma all the time but i leave the retina issues to a retinal specialist and concern myself with the bones. Hopefully one of the excellent retinal specialists on this forum will answer.  As a general rule, the longer the vision remains poor and is not improving, the poorer the prognosis.

does this sound like the right ultrasound test to check for a blood clot? us extremity non vascular ltd incl soft tissue?

: US of the lower extremity for DVT should state as "Duplex ultrasound for deep venous thrombosis of lower extremities or either leg". 
Is LTD a typo? The usual term is LCD for billing purpose.
