Seek an oral exam: The small red spots could be of many different origins.  An avenue to pursue is to see of they are of a bacterial or fungal nature.  Please seek your dentist for a differential diagnosis.  A thorough exam should yield relief and rule out any underlying pathology.  This way the appropriate medication oral or topical canbe given to relive your symptoms and concerns.

Likely Viral: It is common for children to have viral causes of mouth sores.  We are seeing this in Kentucky now. There are several viruses we see including "hand-foot-mouth" disease that causes mouth sores in children.  They are all self limited and require only fluids and comfort measures. Small sips work best.  Remember children on average get 8 to 10 viruses a year at her age!

Could be...........: It could be something called geographic tongue, especially if they are not sore or uncomfortable in any way.  If it is that, it is benign and nothing to worry about.  However, without seeing you personally, there is no way to know and it could be many other conditions.  Do not apply anything to your tongue without being advised by a dentist and regardless see your dentist for an accurate diagnosis.

See your MD: You need to be sure it is not strep throat.
See your MD a rapid test can be done to rule it out and if needed antibiotics can be prescribed at the same time
