Red dots: Red dots on soft palate can sometime indicate a strep throat. Have your child checked with a throat culture.Otherwise, it is a benign condition which can be caused by spicy food.

Irrelevant: Red dots on soft palate can be because of some irritant or allergy, regardless of wisdom teeth surgery. If cornered, see your surgeon for post-op appointment.

Probably not: In my experience it sounds more like inflammation that something more serious.  Tonsil always being swollen is an issue.

See a dentist: Petechiae formation on the soft palate is chiefly linked with pharyngitis by a streptococcal infection, allergic reaction or orogenital sexual activity. Regardless the cause the evaluation by a dentist is warranted.

Red dots: "Red dots" is not a diagnosis, merely a description, so can't tell without an examination.  Assuming it was an Oral Surgeon who removed your wisdom teeth, anything pathological would have been noted at the time of your surgery.  Return to the Oral Surgeon to have your red dots examined.

If you are...: If you are a smoker then stop. These can be sensations that are a warning to stop. I say this because you have smoker at the end of your message. These can be cause also by hot liquids if you do this frequently. Stop now before you have cancer.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics can alter taste sensation. But so can GERD, which can physically damage your taste buds. Please discuss your symptoms with the physician that is treating your GERD.

Red Spot on palate: I would have it checked today and i would let them biopsy it today if it looks suspicious! don't delay!

im having some infection on my soft palate. there is some kind of red, brown, white dots. it hurts when i swallow anything. any home remedies?

Well: You could gargle with a mixture of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) liquid and chloraseptic and maalox about equal parts.  That&#x27;s about the best i can think of over the counter.Be sure not to swallow! i know it hurts. Hope it helps!
