: Unless you are infected with a highly resistant E. Coli which is called ESBL E. Coli, Augmentin should take care all those organisms.

when is uti something to worry about?took omnicef (cefdinir) 7days,killed ecoli, now macrobid for another bacteria, last d &still feel back pain,fatigue, nausea.

ER : Go to ER or urgent care immediately for urinalysis culture with antibiotic sensitivities and treatment. Back pain could mean you have pyelonephritis or a kidney stone. Get seen ASAP please.

It will not help: bacterial vaginosis.. You need flagyl or clindamycin for that. It will not help a UTI. You need bactrim or cipro (ciprofloxacin) for that.

See below: The number one thing to do is to make that you are wiping front to back as this will help prevent utis.   Also, if you are a diabetic you want to get this under control as elevated blood sugars increase your risk for utis.  Also consider seeing your doctor for a pelvic if you have not had one.

It can also occur from non-infectious causes, such as concentrated bladder irritants (ie. Caffeine, nicotine, excess spices) in the setting of dehydration. This inflammation can cause symptoms indistinguishable from a uti.
