Yes: If clean uncontaminated specimen examined and shows e.Coli, there is infection. Urine should not contain bacteria.

E. Coli in urine: If you have e. Coli in your urine, you have a uti. Your urine was cultured to tell you about the e. Coli. Speak to the physician who ordered the urine culture about the type of antibiotic you will need to treat it.
