No one can tell: This is a widely spread cancer. Would defer to her oncologist as to average survival time..When my faterinlaw was at the end of his life were felt blessed to have the time to spend with him knowing  we neede to tell him how we felt.

Yes, for both: Hepatocellular Carcinoma is commonly treated with Sorafenib which is a type of targeted therapy. This is a good choice of treatment in case you have not yet received this drug. Immunotherapy using PD-1 inhibitors has also shown some modest evidence of benefit although it is not yet FDA approved for this indication. Ask your oncologist to guide your treatment further.

Seems to be.: Apperently, these cancers tend to be localaized and are less aggressive than other renal cancers.  If treated early, studies suggest that these have a relatively good prognosis.  Also, if there is no necrosis or lymph node invasion, this tends to point to a favorable prognosis.  With proper treatment, it appears that removal will free you of this cancer.  Best of luck!

Poorly defined CA: Anaplastic is a pathology term to describe how the cells look under the microscope. It generally means theres no discernible pattern (generally not a good thing) metastatic means it has spread beyond its initial location. Liver means thats where it started.

Not Squamous cancer: It means that some of the cells have gone through changes that make them look like squamous cells.
