Side effects: Nausea, headache, dizziness and rare allergic reactions (rash) are among possible side effects to the contrast material. consult your Dr if symptoms are severe or do not show gradual improvement

effect of contrast: materials can cause this side effect; nonetheless, worth checking with PCP and obtain an EKG.

Hard to say: But if it is the same wrist and nothing happened (like an injury) after the IV it is possibly related. Is there any swelling, discoloration, heat in the wrist?  Better check in with the person who ordered the mri.  Meanwhile, try heat packs and an analgesic.

i had a brain mri with contrast 1 year ago for paresthesia's entire left side of body and face with some weakness and it was normal. for the past 8 days i have had a headache and blurry vision, could a symptomatic brain tumor develop in 1 year?

: Yes, one year is more than enough for a brain tumor causing symptoms. However, headache and blurred vision are quite common so you should not think about the worst scenario. Eye problem is a common cause of your symptoms. Have your eyes checked if it has not been done in the last 2 years.

i have a vestibular disorder that makes it difficult for my eyes to focus (makes me dizzy); ive had brain mri with contrast & all normal. however my left eye tends to feel pressure above it that irritates me (eye dr says nothing). stress or vestib?

Eye focus: You may want to see an ear, nose, throat doctor who specialize in vestibular problems or a neurologist. There is vestibular therapy once they decide where the problem stems from.

No: Noncontrasted MRI is the test of choice to radiographically diagnose Chiari's.  Be aware that there is something called PHASE-CONTRAST MRI or abbreviated PC-MRI.  This imaging technique can be used (and is very useful in some cases when looking at headaches associated with Chiari's) to image the malformation.  It DOES NOT utilize IV-contrast though the word "contrast" is in the name of the test.

No: Imaging studies do not show "everything".
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
