: There is no artery which can be felt on the back of thigh muscles. There is an artery further down on the back of the knee which can be felt. So if what you feel continues pl. see your MD for proper diagnosis. Good luck

Nerve irritation: This may be  nerve  irritation. Either  pinched, post trau or other injury. IT coudl also be  metabolic. Ask you physician tonclarify.

Legs: These symptoms appear to be muscle fasciculations or mild cramps related to exercise. Maybe your muscles aren't used to such a long walk. If repeated muscle cramps or easy fatigue occurs, get checked for deficiencies of calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium,iron or presence of anemia. Otherwise embark on a regular walking program starting with shorter walks and wearing proper footwear.

Don't know: Really hard to say without more information or examining you.  Are you getting enough sleep, is the first question.  Have you been exercising heavily, or conversely, not enough?  Do you take any medications that could affect your potassium level, like a diuretic? Try some gentle stretching of you leg muscles, get a good night's rest, and if it persists go see your doctor.

i'm feeling a strong pulsing in the upper topside of my left thigh. there's no pain associated but  curious as what could be causing this?

Possible muscular: twitch or spasm. The only major pulsing artery in your upper thigh area would be the femoral artery, which is actually only felt in your groin area. This is probably a muscle spasm or twitching.

Varies: There are a number of possibilities, I would not hesitate to be seen.  Among the more common possibilities include an problem in your hip (which usually causes a referred pain to the upper thigh) or a "pinched nerve" in the upoer lumbar spine. A detailed exam and appropriate studies will likely determine the cause.
