Nothing much: Avoid caffeine and stimulants (decongestants, drugs, some medicines) and diminish stress. 
Some exercise and weight loss will help.
Usually PACs are more a nuisance than dangerous (as long as the heart is normal) and that is the reason to discuss it first with your doctor

PAT: Paroxysmal atrial tachycardia. Usually 5 consecutive beats or more is classified as tachycardia.

i have premature atrial contractions, they have flared up again and get a lot worse after i eat a meal. it doesnt seem to matter what i eat. what can i do? ive been trying to stay hydrated today. my anxiety makes it worse. thanks?

: Did your monitoring only show occasional single PAC,'s and no runs or high grade atrial irritability?  Are you avoiding caffeine &amp; alcohol?  Your atrial irritability is probably mild and some don't treat it. However, when even occasional PAC's become a nuisance&amp; symptomatic, I believe in suppression.using beta blockers or, if you can't tolerate them, diltiazem. Discuss with your cardiologist.

No: They are benign and do not require treatment unless particularly bothersome.

Accepted Answer

Yes: PACs are simply isolated early extra beats that originate from the upper chambers of the heart (above the bundle of his).  Some make it through to the ventricle, some are blocked.  When they occur consecutively causing the ventricle to contract faster then that situation is said to be PSVT.  Some self terminate- some need meds or electrical cardioversion and ablation. They can be seen separately.

PAC: This an electrical abnormality  of the conduction  in the heart and is of no great significance.it is not usually food related

High chest wall pain: Sharp chest wall pain just below the collar bone is not related to heart. It will not be related to lung either. This area radiates to the collar bone and vascular and nerve structures underneath. Likely this discomfort is muscle/bone/periosteum related.

No, not likely: It is not a safe medicine to take. These pacs are harmless...So quit worrying about them and learn to relax and remain calm. This may require daily exercise, like a good walk for half hour every morning!

AV Block?: Yes, it is very possible that the slow rate of ventricular contractions cannot keep up with a faster atrial contraction rate. It is an a-v block.

Depends: If it's regular, yes. If not, it might just be 3 PACs in a row. The mechanisms are different.
