Burn: Wash it with warm water and soap then keep it dry and do not apply any creams. Healing should occur in a few days

1 slice or less : Keep walking but that is less than the avg calories in one slice.

Acid reflux: Try taking a Tums, Zantac, (ranitidine) or Prilosec. See if that gives you any relief. If the problem persists over a week or 2, visit your doctor for a detailed history and exam. Best of luck!

I don't know: However, your body seems to be telling you not to eat these specific things.  Aren't you lucky that you don't really need a diagnosis?  Just avoid them!  Good luck.

when i touch something hot with my rt hand (pizza slice), the burning feels amplified, left hand normal. could this be pinched nerve, or worse?

Stop!: Sensations may change as a result of 'pinched nerves' but it's not likely that this would be the only or main symptom. Certainly, don't catastrophize to even worse!! If you are right-handed and the variance is not extreme - you might just be more tuned-in to that hand's signals. If you suffered a recent spinal injury that prompted this concern - have an exam.

my son was cooking pizza in the oven and its burning. my whole kitchen is full of smoke. can we get smoke inhalation from breathing it in from the burnt pizza on the bottom of the stove. could see the smoke coming from inside of the oven?

: If you did not get any immediate symptoms like choking, cough, shortness of breath, do not be concerned with a little smoke inhalation.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. 
Get HPV, Flu and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

i think my son may be allergic to tomatoes. he has d had a burning tongue and lips since eating a pizza 2 days ago. could this be the case?

Possible: Even though allergic reaction to food (aside from swelling) does not usually last for more than a few hours, I recommend that tomato be avoided until cleared by an allergist. Do note that there are other ingredients in pizza aside from tomato.

can you get a canker sore from burning your mouth on pizza?

Accepted Answer

Typically - no: Usually all you get is a burn. However, herpes can be activated by trauma. We sometimes see patients develop a herpetic cluster at the injection site where local anesthetic was placed. So, unless you have this kind of response, any canker sore development would be coincidental. Of course, if you really want to , you could run an experiment on yourself , but not recommended. Good Luck.

Nerve recovery: This is  a result of the burn and the reaction of the nerve fibers that were involved.
