Yeah....ok....: Occurs, but for a huge number of reasons. The bulk from a lot of food pushing the stomach contents up throat (reflux) or stomach into the chest (hiatal hernia) is pretty common. Ulcers as cause pretty uncommon. Heartburn.: The tomato sauce in a pizza can trigger reflux/GERD/heartburn. So can spicy pepperoni, fresh tomatoes and simply eating too much pizza too late at night before going to bed.
