Burn: Second degree burns may be superficial or deep. They blister as second layer of 3 skin layers are damaged. Swelling ensues, pain usual for few days. Since top layer skin is gone, heals by granulation and usually takes about 6 weeks. Similar to being " skinned" but peel off 1st and 2nd layer of skin. Follow ur dr.S instructions for care. As dressing usually necessary.
