every morning i wake up eyes glued by mucous and swollen tonsils. i find it hard to swallow and no fever. then better again.can it be spring season?

Many things: Allergies possibly combined with eyelid infection: blepharitis (infection of eye lashes and eyelids) or meibomianitis (infection of ducts on eyelids).  You should see your doctor.

my son woke up from his nap with one swollen very red eyelid and the area underneath is is also very red but doesn't look like pink eye in anyway?

Red eyelids?: Most serious possibility is something called orbital cellulitis(an infection in tissues surrounding the eyeball). Usually very sick looking and swollen. Have him seen pronto at pedal ER!

my right eye is watery and swollen. it feels scratchy like it has sand in it. could this be pink eye or just allergies which i also currently have?

Infection likely: Although allergy can cause the symptoms you describe, they usually are present in both eyes. The feeling of sandiness is more likely associated with infection rather than allergy.

so my eye has thick mucus buildup at the tearduct, is slightly swollen&crust has formed also slight blurred vision.i think it's pink eye but not sure?

A few possibilities: This could be due to allergies, dry eyes, or eye infections.  All can start or affect 1 eye first.  The treatments are very different. For allergies, zaditor (ketotifen) is a good otc eye medicine.  For dry eyes, lubricating tears are necessary.  For infection, usually of the eyelids, start with eyelid warm compress and diluted baby shampoo scrubs.  You should have a baseline exam with your eye doctor.

puffy/swollen left eyelid for six months my left eyelid has been puffy and swollen for six months. alleregy meds haven't done a thing for me. i went to dr and it isnt pink eye or anything of that nature. the puffiness is now on my left side of my face too

Many : Many many things can cause swollen eyelids (lid edema).  Strange that it is just on one side.  If has ben going on for six months, it is probably not an infection.  It could be an allergic reaction to something.  The confusing part is the one-sided-ness.  I would see a local specialist to have it looked at and evaluated.

: Depends. Pink eye is a generic term that can be applied to anything that triggers even minor pink conjunctiva. Some allergic forms rarely cause swelling while bacterial and some viral infections can cause significant swelling and drainage.

september 5th i got pink eye,it went away.next saturday i was ok.this saturday my eyes got swollen shut and now i have a blood clot. please help?

I'm not sure..: ...what you mean by blood clot?  Perhaps you are seeing red/blood in the sclera/white part of your eye? Most conjunctivitis is viral, and will often clear without antibiotics. But with a recurrence, seemingly more severe with thicker discharge you need to see your ophthalmologist or primary provider. A physical exam and evaluation of your eyes is needed. Good wishes:)

spent all day crying yestrdy .i woke up today with my lower eyelids puffy swollen and crusty, and a little itchy..can excess crying cause pink eye?

Eyelid edema: Following intense emotional situations with crying, runny nose, and lots of wiping eyelids and nose secretions, the eyelids often swell, eyes look red, and the ocular surface may be slightly irritated. Mucous is generated by the eye in response to the irritation. Sometimes contamination can be introduced into the eye with all the wiping. Not usually an infection results, but if worse, see eye doc.

a doctor diagnosed me with pink eye gave me drops and antibiotic yesterday. it is still swollen shut and very red. is this normal?

Yes: It will take 4-10 days for the pink eye to get better.  Put a cool compress on the eye to help with the swelling.

my eye got extremely infected and it is smaller than the other eye. i just rubbed it a lot. how long will this take to heal and should i go see a doctor for it? my eye is very swollen and red too. im not sure if i have pink eye or not.

Worth a visit: I have seen infections limited to the surface linings of the lid/eyeball. I have seen them invade the support tissue of the eye. I have also seen a case where the germ got inside the eyeball &amp; threatened vision. Without seeing it or a better description I can't say how bad it is/could be. Yet I would want you to be seen sooner rather than later if you value your sight.
