is a pill cam a good to find a diagnosis that a colonoscopy couldn't?

It may be.: The purpose of the pill cam is to go where the colonscopy cannot. The pill cam can see the different parts of the small bowel and may get a closer look at the large bowel. It may also catch something that is intermittent such as bleeding that the colonoscopy did not catch.  It may well help. Please make sure you have seen a gastroentologist.

i had a pill cam today to check for  pain in my stomach. i have not yet passed the camera. how long should i wait before becoming  concerned?

Indefinitely!: This will take at least thee or four days or longer.  It is extremely unlikely this tiny device will not pass.  Just be patient and follow your consultants advice.  Bowels are very individual and "stuff" moves through at different speeds.  Good luck with this revolutionary  test!

Pill: Usually cannot get stuck in the small bowel.  It will move along with the other contents.  Mostly patients complain of pills sticking in the throat  and fluid helps to dislodge.

Changes view: Cigarette  smoke may cause a change in the color of the stomach lining.

Await biopsy result: That is the point of endoscopy: to see if th e re are any abnormalities, take tissue samples and wait for the pathologist to make a definitive dx

Cam pill: Capsule endoscopy takes thousands of pictures of your intestinal tract  It is used to survey the small intestine primarily as upper and lower endoscopy don't visualize the small intestine. The capsule camera can detect Crohn's disease and tumors of the small intestine. Stomach cancer is better diagnosed by scoping which also allows biopsies to be taken The same applies to colon cancer.

Colon: Blood and mucus in stools with left sided abdominal distress suggest rectal or colon inflammation and some form of inflammatory bowel disease. Have you had a sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy?  Your gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate,advise and treat you for this problem.

hey im 32 and id normally b on d pill but i cam off it 4 dis month now im 4days late i've done a test & cam back neg 2day.  cud i b pregnant? :-(

Maybe, maybe not: One can repeat the urine pregnancy test in one week. The test is very reliable and accurate by that time, if done correctly and read correctly.

had abortion done on27july2014,had unprotected sex on4/7july,but he did not cam inside.i took the ella (ulipristal acetate) pill(120 hours) on 8july, could i be pregant?

Dates not right: You say you had the abortion on July 27 2014 - that date has not even occurred yet. If you mean JUNE 27, and then the rest of the scenario is the same, the answer is yes, you could be pregnant - because you had unprotected sex. You think he didn't ejaculate inside you, but there is no way to know that as lots of sperm are released even just during sex. You really need to find better contraception
