Indefinitely!: This will take at least thee or four days or longer. It is extremely unlikely this tiny device will not pass. Just be patient and follow your consultants advice. Bowels are very individual and "stuff" moves through at different speeds. Good luck with this revolutionary test!

May not see it: Your doc will be able to see if pillcam passed through small bowel into colon. If it did, no reason you won't pass it (even sight unseen). If can not confirm passage into colon, can get xray in several days. Pillcam will show up on film if present. It may take a few days in any event to pass the pillcam (just like a piece of brocolli).
