Need X-ray : See your dentist so an x-ray can be taken of the area to see if you have a tooth issue or not.   Hard to guess without an exam and x-ray .  You can take some advil (ibuprofen) in the mean time to try to control the pain

2 days after having all top teeth pulled and dentures set, my gums swelling has went down but i woke today to my sinuses swollen considerately?

Swelling: Post Operative swelling is not unusual following any type of surgery.  Sometimes it's a normal part of the healing process.  Sometimes it signifies infection.  Please return to your Dentist for reevaluation.

my mom moved from out of state. no  medical care set up yet. she has a cracked tooth, gum infection over  weekend. she has old rx kflex will this help?

Accepted Answer

Keflex (cephalexin): isn't my first choice for treating gum infections.  Even tho "no medical care set up yet", if she has health insurance, she can go to any local clinic or urgent care center for care. All of them: At birth all of the baby teeth and a portion of the permanent incisors and molars are present under the gums.  The baby teeth begin erupting between 6-15 months and all 20  baby teeth have erupted by age 3.  Permanent teeth begin erupting at 6 (girls) or 7 (boys).  Important dates:1st dental ck-up age 1, 1st orthodontic ck-up age 7.

i have sores all over my mouth, but mostly on my inner upper and lower lip. they look a lot like koplik's spots, ie small white sores in large clusters surrounded by red. (i can provide a picture.) my mouth hurts and gums bleed. what's going on?

2 problems: Sores and bleeding gums. Sores may be from hermetic infection, canker sores, or other lesions. Bleeding gums probably due to bacterial infection. Please, you need to see a Dentist for proper diagnosis and treatment. Probably can't fix both problems with just a pill, poultice, or mouth rinse. You will need hands-on dental care.

my baby is not eating or drinking properly, he  is 7.5 month, i noticed the 3rd tooth has started to pierce through his gums, please can i get advice to help sooth/ feed him ?

Growth chart?: Is he falling off the curve on his growth chart? Has he lost weight? If so, take him to the doc. It could be the teething. Rub his gums w/ a frozen wet cloth, and try teething biscuits, teething rings &amp; cold foods like cold applesauce. is it possible for a 3 month olds molars to come in first? baby is teething stuck finger in mouth felt hardness and a knot on back gum.

Don't expect it: You can feel that hardness back there for years before the molars actually come in. Infants often gnaw on their fingers because it feels good. Anything that touched their mouth/lips is pleasurable. We are made that way so babies will latch/feed long before they figure out feeding is important. Expect the lower central incisors to be first, although there is some variability.

is it bad for my 11 week old baby to watch tv? he would cry and when i put him infront of the tv it calms him. he loves wathing tv. is it bad for him? he makes sounds while watching tv and get very serious. gums are itching hands always in mouth

More or less: How long will use this crutch ? Why not buy a snuglee and strap the kid to your chest so s/he can enjoy their day with you rather than  just be impressed by changing lights &amp; sounds? Our research shows more than 2 hours a day of any such stimulus translates into attention problems in kids. It requires creative adult thinking to entertain a baby but that is what they need.

Bleeding gums: Generally its such a slow process and your mouth heals so fast you dont notice it.  If the teeth are placky you can get bleeding.

Accepted Answer

Have them checked: Newborn teeth can range from very loose to firmly implanted in the gum.  If they are loose, there is some risk that they could end up falling out & being inhaled into the lungs creating a big problem. If firm but red & swollen, there is likely some issue with the gum your doc or a pediatric dentist should assess.
