Depends!: You can get tested for h pylori in one of three ways: via blood, breath or stool. Blood testing doesn't require fasting but breath test requires fasting as well as other restrictions in 14d prior to exam while stool test requires similar requirements w/o fasting. If you have peptic ulcer disease or chronic antral gastritis related to H. pylori, then your disease may not resolve unless H. pylori is eradicated with four-drug therapy. How do you know you have H. pylori? What is the plan of the doctor who told you that you have H. pylori? Maybe you should ask him.

Headache: Hi, she could take Tylenol (acetaminophen) but if Tylenol (acetaminophen) doesn't help she might want to try Motrin or Aleve although with history of H Pylori and possible Gastritis or Ulcer they can increase the risk of stomach irritation.
