What is h. pylori?

Infection of stomach: H.Pylori is type of bacteria helicobacter pylori that can cause infection in thestomach, together with acid stomach can cause ulcers .Pts are usually asymtomatic.When being treated with ulcers , this bacteria then get tested.It test is positive , pts are treated with two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor for 7-14 days.

H pylori: H pylori is a ubiquitous bacterium very often found in the stomach. It is found in 50% of the world's population. It may not cause any problems in 80% but has been linked to gastric and duodenal ulcers and to cancer of the stomach. There are tests to detect it if symptoms warrant it.

Helicobacter Pylori: This is a bacterial infection in the stomach that causes up to 60% of the peptic ulcer disease. It is easily diagnosed and easily treated.
