i have a septated 5 cm cyst that my dr thinks is a peritoneal inclusion. i`m 53 yo, negative ca-125 , & asymptomatic. how likely is it cancerous?

Very unlikely: Monitor the cyst with ultrasound every 6 months or so, at least initially, if stable, and if asymptomatic, may be left alone.

: Some squamous cells can become malignant, but "squamous" itself never means cancer. Your skin is covered in billions of squamous cells; so are the linings of your vagina, mouth, nose, etc. Many or most skin and genital area cysts are lined with squamous cells, so this is a normal finding. The main result here is there there is no evidence of either malignancy or infection. Congratulations!

had a peritoneal inclusion cyst aspirated. culture (gram stain) came back for "few" white and red blood cells present. no sqamous or microorganisms. what might treatment include? thank you in advance?

: By radiopaedia website: "conservative treatment (use of GnRH analogs, oral contraceptives to suppress ovulation, pain medication) is the first line of treatment. Image-guided transvaginal fluid aspiration and sclerotherapy have been attempted with partial success.  
Surgical resection of adhesions is necessary only in selected cases."

husband has benign cystic peritoneal mesothelioma oncologist wants yearly ct no removal suggested now. maybe hipec/surgery later. any thoughts?

Ethical oncologist: Your husband is triply-fortunate. He has a lesion that's best left alone and will most likely not be a great problem. He has an oncologist who's told you the truth and not suggested unnecessary treatment. And best of all, he has a devoted and resourceful wife. Be sure that at least two pathologists signed off on the diagnosis of this rare entity.

i have this small node or cyst but only slightly visible when i turn my neck its on the back of my neck right side. i want to say i always had it , it feels like a little ball , is it normal? no other symptoms?

: You need to see a Dr who can get a good history, do a physical and if needed do some labs. Only way to be certain it is not something to worry about.
