How much....: ...Trazodone were you told to take? You don't say, but most people that are prescribed trazodone these days are given it for sleep and often don't need more than 50mg. It is a very sedating drug. It may take 2 hours for you to really feel the effect so you should take it on the early side. If 50mg isn't quite enough, you may want to wait until tomorrow to take it again and try 75 ( 1 and 1/2 tab).

Drug interactions.:  These are both at fairly low doses. Although Serotonin Syndrome has been known to occur with even a single agent at low dose, the rist for this is still quite low with this combination at this dosage.

Gotta trust your doc: Severe Sx sometimes require aggressive medication use.  These doses seem high, but are not out of the ballpark and may be required for your condition.  You should discuss with your doc.

Trazadone: Trazadone is a type of tricyclic antideprssant with alpha 1 - adrenergic blocking potential and H1 receptor blockage. The drug has been added to anxiety regimes at 25mg to 50mg at bedtime and is usually tolerated well. If having troubles sleeping it can be very helpful if effective.

Reason?: I am unsure the reason why you want to take NyQuil. It might be helpful to just take pseudoephedrine as a decongestant if you have a cold as some of the other meds may make you really sleepy with your current meds. Calling your local pharmacist may be a good idea for tonight then ask your doctor in the morning.

Less trazodone: Trazodone is often oversedatng with morning grogginess. I would suggest taking only 1/2 pill of trazodone or even stopping it entirely and see if you can sleep without it. Lexapro (escitalopram) is for depression and the trazodone is only for sleep at night. You should always consult your prescribing doctor before making any changes in your medications.

Medication effects: Using Celexa (citalopram) with Trazodone can increase the risk of a rare but serious Serotonin Syndrome- confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure; and  
increased risk of rare irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening.
