i used an online calculator to calculate calories i need to maintain and it says 2094 per day. if i eat 1300-1600 calories per day and burn 300 + with exercise. do i add my burned calories during excercise to the calories i'm cutting out with food?

Losing weight?: The decrease in calories combined with calories burned exercising will give you an idea of if your calories expended exceeds your calories  taken in.

Overestimate: I do believe MANY machines in gyms and online calculators grossly overestimate calories burned. Probably a high quality programmable hear rate monitor is the most accurate.

Track weight: Calculation of caloric expenditure is only an approximation. Weighting yourself under similar conditions every day may be more reliable. For example if you weigh yourself at rising in the morning.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

how many extra calories does the atkins diet burn? i know that fat is burned instead of carbs on the atkins diet, but how does that change the amount of calories burned?

Less calories: The important thing about the atkins diet is that you eat very little carbohydrate.  As a result you eat more fat.  For most people, fat is more satisfying in terms of feeling full than carbs.  As a result you eat fewer calories overall and lose weight.  Also, when fat is burned it produces ketones.  These suppress your appetite as well.  The amount of calories burned depends on your activity.

how accurate is the calorie count on my elliptical machine?? if i'm working out for 30+ minutes and the calories burned says 100, can i rely on that? i understand i must burn more than i consume, but how can i calculate my burn at 5'5", 185 lbs??

Calorie calculate: Get the app Cronometer and enter what you eat and exercise you do and see. 100 calories is about 1/2 Snickers.  You need to exercise more or eat fewer calories.  Simple in concept difficult in execution.

1 slice or less : Keep walking but that is less than the avg calories in one slice.

yet i cannot seem to lose weight despite averaging less than 2000 calories pd?

Fitbit not accurate: If you are not losing weight, you need to reduce your intake, further. With increasing age the basal metabolism slows down. The exercise and reduced intake of food that would have worked in your twenties but not in your 50s.
Try reducing your intake to 1500 calories/day.
