does anyone know what causes palmar redness in people with liver cirrhosis?

Altered function: Palmar redness can be seen with lots of things including pregnancy, birth control pills, liver tumors, etc. Cirrhosis from whatever cause can affect hormonal balance (more estrogenic), causes decrease in pubic hair, hair in armpits, beard, men get breast development.Can also dilate blood vessels. Can also cause palmar redness.

how common is both palmar and plantar fasciitis in the same patient and can it indicate more serious problems than having just one or the other?

Dupuytren's?: Plantar fasciitis is extremely common.Pain in the heel when first arising in the morning is typical.' palmar ' fasciitis is different if u are referring to contracture of the palmar fascia or dupuytren's dz. If you have this "disease " than plantar 'fibromas' are not unusual and can coexist w/ dupuytren's . See an ors for evaluation and clarification of above. Best of luck!

ive got plantar psoriasis.the bottom of my foot is almost healed. now, on the side of my toe,ive got a red inflamed area with blisters.could it be from wearing the same tennis shoes &now its a fungal thing?can i use clobetasol proprionate+lotrimin?

: Recommend seeing a podiatrist or PCP for correct diagnosis and treatment. I can only guess at best without visualizing your foot.

i was bitten several months ago, reaction bright red on feet, on fire,  peeled several times.  i am experiencing plantar fasciitis, is this from bite?

Doughtful: It could be a coincident.  I believe your plantar fasciitis could have resulted from you guarding your foot by  placing the weight mostly on the heel bone and avoiding the area of the insect/animal bite. Hence the fascia swells.

got bug bite on palmar side of wrist. it's now slightly red up to 3 in below bite with faint red streak heading down arm toward elbow. what is it?

May be infected: Red streaking heading toward your elbow would suggest that germs have entered through the bite and are moving within that streak/tissue. I would see your doc at today or go to urgent care &amp; have it evaluated.

Nothing: It is not uncommon for warts to bleed a little. It is always a good idea to keep them covered.

I am  not certain: Near-infrared led light offers athletes noninvasive treatment for soft tissue injuries, providing recovery and pain relief. Nasa conducted research throughout the 2000s indicating that the red light stimulated energy production within cells, effectively providing enough fuel to boost tissue regeneration and accelerate the healing process.
About the shoe I do not think so.

plantar's wart - mid finger that i tried clipping off a couple times. it's been over a month since i tried to do that last and now it is tender and painful to touch. with a slightly red hue under it and my arm and hand are sore too. what should i do?

: Planter's warts are by definition on the feet. Warts on your fingers are regular warts. Enough of the wart is below the skin surface that simple clipping does little more than irritate the base which will re-establish the wart. If it is tender &amp; the hand sore it may have become infected by skin germs. A visit to your doc may be your next best move.

is red palms and hands after eating a sign of palmar erythema, or is it sign of blood being diverted from extremities to stomach, i have fatty liver?

No: Red palms IS palmar erythema. Red hands is not. What you describe may be true palmar erythema, or it may not. It is never due to diversion of blood flow away from the hands. Besides advanced liver disease, it can be due to local factors on the hands, thyroid disease, eczema, psoriasis, blood disorder [increase in red cells], pregnancy or increased estrogen, etc. Avoid alcohol.

how can i control the redness in my cheeks?

Accepted Answer

Depends on cause: Is it there all the time? Any pimples/pustules? Any fine blood vessels showing? Could be sun exposure, reaction to soap/perfume/lotion/ shampoo/hair color; acne; rosacea; lupus; flushing from niacin; seborrheic dermatitis. See pcp or dermatologist for evaluation & options for treatment.
