A member asked:

Can red led therapeutic lights reduce pain in plantar fasciitis of the foot? and would vibram five toes shoes stretch that problem to fix it too?

I am not certain: Near-infrared led light offers athletes noninvasive treatment for soft tissue injuries, providing recovery and pain relief. Nasa conducted research throughout the 2000s indicating that the red light stimulated energy production within cells, effectively providing enough fuel to boost tissue regeneration and accelerate the healing process. About the shoe I do not think so.

Absolutely not: The two best treatments for plantar fasciitis are injections and wearing a night splint. After that, using some sort of orthotic or arch support and calf and foot stretching exercises. What we now know doesn't work is physical therapy, ultrasound, shock wave treatments and those led light thingies. Hope this helps. Feel better!
