No: Red palms IS palmar erythema. Red hands is not. What you describe may be true palmar erythema, or it may not. It is never due to diversion of blood flow away from the hands. Besides advanced liver disease, it can be due to local factors on the hands, thyroid disease, eczema, psoriasis, blood disorder [increase in red cells], pregnancy or increased estrogen, etc. Avoid alcohol.
