Happens sometimes...: 29 y/o says Painful lump on buttocks after injection? Happens sometimes if the injecting needle nicks some blood vessels &amp; one gets a local bleed (Hematoma). Most disappear w/o much help but sometimes  Warm Moist Compress  helps. If it gets too painful/ red or have a discharge coming out then one must see a Doctor to Rule Out/ Treat infection.

: You should see a surgeon for that lesion (an abscess) because you may need a wound debridement. Good luck.

Hematoma: It sounds like a gluteal hematoma, or bleeding inside the muscle. Most go away in few weeks, some may last indefinitely. Other causes may not be ruled out, if it persists your doc will be best to assess.

See doctor: You probably introduced infection along with the injection. What did you inject and why? For the short term you need treatment for the self induced injury and for the long term you may need counseling to straighten out whatever made you do this self destructive thing.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

: This could be scar tissue from the injection. You can massage the area. You can also apply heat if this feels better. If it is not getting smaller over time, have the physician who gave the injection evaluate the area. If there is redness to the area, have it checked sooner to be certain there is no skin infection. : I suspect that a blood clot formed under the skin and has hardened. These hematomas don't usually dissolve.. These clots aren't dangerous but occasionally, because of persistent tenderness, have to be removed by a surgeon through a small incision.

Not safe at all!: Free silicone injections can migrate, cause scar fibrosis, granulomas, pain, irregularity of the skin surface, and can also become infected. Free silicone is impossible to remove if it has any or several of these problems, so an entire chunk of skin and fat must be excised and a skin graft placed should serious difficulties arise. Please say no! solid silicone implants or fat grafts are much safer.

Yes: The im injections in the buttocks often cause discomfort. Definitely alternate the injection side each day. Also ask your fertility nurse to draw a larger target to spread the injections around a wider area. Walking often helps mobilize the oil. Fortunately, you will not need to take the injections forever.
