Possibilities: There are a number of glandular structures in that area along with lymph nodes.The glands that support sweating &amp; odor production can become infected. The lymph glands in that area service the skin &amp; structures of that arm and shoulder. These can enlarge with local skin irritation, infections or other issues. An exam is likely needed to sort this out.

Various causes: A persistent marble sized lump in the armpit could be a cyst, ingrown hair, early abscess or a growth. If the lump does not recede, have it checked by a physician.

i am 23, a girl. i have a blackened peasized lump on my left armpit for about a month. it is soft, painful not itchy. before it came several painful armpit lumps arose one after other but lasted 4-5 days. this lump issue is since 6 months?

: Your armpit may be colonized by staphylococcus  bacteria causing recurring folliculitis. In my experience the most effective method of eradicating the bacteria is with a ,10-14 day course of an effective antibiotic like dicloxacillin as long as you're not allergic to penicillin. Discuss this with your physician or consult a dermatologist

Kidney infection: This could be a kidney infection (pyelonephritis).  Get checked out ASAP.  Sometimes kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) can also present like this.

More info. required: It depends on the cause:  if the armpit is swollen because of inflamed lymph nodes, check to make sure there is not an infection or cut on your hand or fingers.  If there is an infection an antibiotic may help.  It will take several days for the swelling to go down.

Sure it's lymph node: Are you sure these things aren't sebaceous cysts or subcutaneous abscesses?  They kind of sound like that instead of just straight out lymph nodes.
