What can be done for painful swollen armpit?

More info. required: It depends on the cause: if the armpit is swollen because of inflamed lymph nodes, check to make sure there is not an infection or cut on your hand or fingers. If there is an infection an antibiotic may help. It will take several days for the swelling to go down.
